The emotions I wanted to depict in the second clay sculpture is fear, and surprise. The cues are tension in the neck and jaw area, opening of the mouth and eyes, rising eyebrows.  I imagine this person is startled and a little scared by something very unpleasant they see. The clay sculpture series I made in preparation for my design study in 2013.
