I was born in Munich, Germany in 1992 and grew up in Varese, a town in northern Italy. After high school I dedicated myself to the study of psychology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. I am fascinated by the human mind, behavior and experience, both from an external as well as from an internal perspective. After my bachelor in psychology I decided to devote my time to my creative side. I moved to Eindhoven, Netherlands where I now study design at the Design Academy. My psychological studies help me be analytical and intuitive in my design approach but also understand a users mentality and needs.
Very often I find myself playing unconsciously with the notions of appearance and reality. I like to play with the deceptive nature of human perception and the naivety of our expectations formed through years of experience. By manipulating materials in certain ways you can alter their inherent properties. For instance, to make them appear as something else. I like to express myself in designs that are aesthetical and that are reduced in forms or patterns that mostly underly geometrical principles. I‘m fascinated by geometry since it seems to be the principle of all natural creation.
With my designs I want to make people curious and encourage them to look beyond the apparent surface. I want to contribute to the world with designs that stimulate a deeper awareness of the genius that lies in even the smallest things.
